Practice Paper N° 4: Songs
MODEL LESSON
PLAN1. The song chosen is “Head and Shoulders Knees and Toes” (1.00 min).

2. Objectives: to develop and practice.
- · Vocabulary: Parts of the body.
- · Structure: Nouns.
- · Integrated Skills: listening, speaking, writing and reading.
3. Lexis: Acquired new vocabulary
related to parts of the body.
4. We will need:

5. They will be given the lyrics of the
song. Also, by watching the video they can read it.
6. They are going to listen to the sing
at least four (four) times, while they dance following the video and the song.
7. After listening to the song, students
will have to complete a draw with the parts of the body. After that, we are
going to play a Bingo and then the game “Simon says” with the parts of the
body.
PROCEDURE:
1) Introduce the topic (5 minutes):
- Introduce the topic of parts of the
body.
2) Listening to the song and
introduction of vocabulary (20 minutes).
- Tell learners they are going to watch
and listen to a song about the parts of the bod
- Play the song.
- Together we identify the parts of the
body and write them in the poster.
- Learners complete activity 1.
Complete the sheet about parts of the body
- Play the song again and check
answers.
3) Singing the song (5 minutes).
- Play and Sing.
4). Focus on Vocabulary (10 minutes).
- After singing and imitating the
video, we ask learners to remember the parts of the body.
- Activity 2. We play Bingo with the
parts of the body. We give students a cardboard with some parts of the body
(each card should be different). Then we (teachers) pull out one image,
describe it and show it to the children. The children will then place rocks,
fun foam pieces or something similar on the called image if it is on their
card. The child who completes all the cardboard charts wins.
5) Closing the lesson.
- Play a game! Together we play the
game “Simon says”.
